So on Sunday I headed down to Helston for the Freedom Racing Penrose Woods 10k & 20k races. The 10k looped around the lake while the 20k continued out onto the coastal path. When I arrived I met Marty Barnfield who was running in the 10k. Here are a few images from the morning. Mine is of my usual action shot of me in the background hands on knees staggering up a steep path thinking I should of stayed in bed. All in all it was a great morning Marty ran the 10k in rapid 53:21 whereas I completed the 20k in 1:57:17. Definitely recommend it Happy Days.
I ran the Exeter marathon last weekend- a surprisingly pleasant route, back and forth alongside the river and some pretty paths- managed 4.56 which I am pleased with, considering I’m still suffering with the dreaded plantar fasciitis!!
Organised by Purple Gecko Events, The Ready Money Ramble is a “timed 8km route from Readymoney Cove along the Coast path to Polridmouth, back overland to loop through Fowey before returning to Readymoney!” There were three events, one loop 8k, two loops 16k, 3 loops 24k. Well done to Antony Boardman and Jane Stephens for completing the 24k event.
Well done to Quentin Gunderson and Lesley Taphouse for running the Reading Half last weekend. Lesley got a 4 minute PB and it was Quentin’s first race in the BRR kit, hopefully the first of many Quentin!!
Day 1 of the ACC- Mother Iveys Bay to Perranporth. Coastpath was lovely and dry and we enjoyed glorious sunshine! 27 miles in 6.19 (Jane Stedman). Jane is counting down to her 300th Marathon, which will be at Clearbrook on 12th December
Antony Boardman came 16th in the Atlantic Coast Ultra (40 miles). “Happy Days”

Big shout out to

Wow what a day in London. The run was exhausting but no one warns you that slapping kids hands, clapping all the band’s and street acts and saying thank you everyone that shouts your name in encouragement is even more knackering.Really appreciated meeting up and tagging along with a lady from Hayle Runners. We ran the last 7 miles together and crossed the finish line with the St Piran’s Flag.
