Today I did the Torbay half marathon and I loved it. Did better than last week, learnt from what I did wrong, really pleased with my time although it’s not as fast as I used to be, hopefully I will get there again. Would definitely recommend this as a good road race for a good time.
Club results from the Bude Pirate Run: Jane Stedman: 1.31.26 (with a fabulous sprint finish), Julie Oxenham: 1.34.50 Ian Ringer: 1.38.28 John Tilley: 1.38.41 Nichola Sinclair: 1.51.00We can’t leave out Jo Temple, 1st female home, in 1.06.29. Well done Jo. In spite of a promise of rain, it was dry and warm for the run. It’s a great route with BIG climbs and beautiful coastal views. The Bude Surf club was very welcoming and the pasty delicious. Finally, a big thank you to Jane Stephens, who stepped in as race director, as Phil is isolating. The race would not have happened if Jane had not volunteered. Thanks Jane. (Race Report by Ian)
Organised by Exeter Community Trust “The Granite Way run takes you along the Granite Way cycle path through Devon with fantastic views of Dartmoor and the surrounding countryside” and includes a 10 and 20 mile event

The automated results system is – strange! Claire is listed as Vegan Runner and I’m not listed in the overall results, only in the V70s. (3rd of 13 btw). Ian
