R.A.T. Ultra and Trail Festival 2021

Well done to everyone who completed the R.A.T (Roseland August Trail), and bad luck Em, who had to pull out after an altercation with a rabbit hole. Organised by Mudcrew events, the R.A.T is a “series of challenging coastal runs along the stunning South Cornwall Coastal Path. It incorporates four different routes, The Black Route 32 miles, The Red Route 20 miles, The White Route 11 miles and The Plague (green) 100K – 64 miles ! All these routes follow the same part of coastline, with runners from different routes joining each other at different points along the way”

Phil enjoyed a “Great event and fantastic cheesy chips at the end”!

Indian Queens Half Marathon

It was the non-GP Indian Queens Half Marathon today. A small group of four BRRs competed. There was a promise of thundery showers, but despite the dark clouds, the rain stayed up there. Consequently, it was warm for the first half, then the sun came out and it was hot 🥵

There was a reduced field: 224 finishers, with quite a lot of “out of county folk.

For BRR, the results are these: Tim Knab: 2.02.04; Ian Ringer: 2.19.51: Claire Barlow; 2.26.51 and Lesley Taphouse 2.39.39

Well done all. 😁 (Race Report by Ian Ringer)
