It is with great regret that together with the Jamaica Inn, we have to announce that the Brown Willy Run 2022 is CANCELLED. The decision was not taken lightly but in view of rising covid infection rates and a difficulty maintaining social distancing within the Jamaica Inn, we feel it is the best decision to ensure the safety of runners, the staff and guests of the Jamaica Inn and the residents of Bolventor. We urge you to please respect this decision of us and the Jamaica Inn and NOT turn up on the day.We really hope to reorganise this run for a later date – watch this space! Please share this with anybody that may have been thinking of attending. Thank you (Beth Kay – Brown Willy Run)
“Today, Jane Stedman did something amazing. She ran her 300th marathon. The second woman in Cornwall to do so and about the 25th in Britain. She is now on the world ranking list of marathon runners. So proud of her”. John Stedman
Jane was joined in the Plym Trail Marathon on 12th December by her daughter (running her first marathon), Ian Ringer, Rebecca Palmer and Sarah Cox. Well done all and what an awesome achievement Jane

Jane Stedman completed her 299th marathon on Saturday 20th November at Running Events Devon – near Exmouth. “A lovely track, similar to Camel Trail. Managed a 4.40 finish time”
So on Sunday I headed down to Helston for the Freedom Racing Penrose Woods 10k & 20k races. The 10k looped around the lake while the 20k continued out onto the coastal path. When I arrived I met Marty Barnfield who was running in the 10k. Here are a few images from the morning. Mine is of my usual action shot of me in the background hands on knees staggering up a steep path thinking I should of stayed in bed. All in all it was a great morning Marty ran the 10k in rapid 53:21 whereas I completed the 20k in 1:57:17. Definitely recommend it Happy Days.

Jane Stephens enjoyed the stunning Autumn colours, fab views, and the ups and the downs running the Castle Drogo 10 this weekend.
I ran the Exeter marathon last weekend- a surprisingly pleasant route, back and forth alongside the river and some pretty paths- managed 4.56 which I am pleased with, considering I’m still suffering with the dreaded plantar fasciitis!!
